So i like the idea of something like rasbery pi because
1. Cheap
2. I already have a wireless mouse
3. I already have a wireless keyboard
4. I already have HDMI cable
5. I already have 1 TV Screen that supports HDMI
6. I already have a 8 gb usb that i never use
So why not? :guitar:
Let's see the system requirements of one random big fish game:
OS: Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7
CPU: 1.0 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
DirectX: 9.0
Hard Drive: 939 MB
and of a second random one
OS: Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7
CPU: 1.4 GHz
RAM: 1024 MB
DirectX: 9.0
Hard Drive: 499 MB
Rasberi pi (18 euros) obviously cannot run Windows neither this game..
Maybe Parallela(77 euros) when it comes out, is my solution? (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/10/parallella-the-99-ubuntu-supercomputer-for-everyone)
Zynq-7010 Dual-core ARM A9 CPU
Epiphany Multicore Accelerator (16 or 64 cores)
1GB RAM
MicroSD Card
USB 2.0 (two)
Two general purpose expansion connectors
Ethernet 10/100/1000
I could run Windows XP and play games from the usb on the Parallela am i right? Is parallela what i am searching?
P.S Second question.. I have bought 1 gb ram.. can i put it in parallela to make it have 2gb RAM?

What makes you think you would be able to run Windows on that board?

From what I've seen, RAM is soldered on the board, but the definitive board may be different. Even so, what makes you think they'll use standard DDR3 DIMMs?

i don't think you can run windows XP on arm processor. As i know only Windows 8RT runs on certain arm and probably only sold as preinstalled version.
you need an old computer or a cheaper netbook.

You could buy a cheap copy of XP and use a VM.

O wait i am not a proffesinal.. let's start it again..
1. In my laptop i can install any OS.. Why u say that i can't install Xp at the Parallela? But i can Windows 8? Could you give me a link for the reason?
2. the system requirements of windows 8 requires 16 gb.. so in order to run windows 8 i must buy 32 gb usb?
3. So let's ask again, what is the cheapiest PC i can buy to play games like the ones i said at first post...

Come on people, not to be a ****, but you CAN'T run Windows on an ARM CPU! Not that hard of a concept, Windows requires an Intel compatible x86 CPU. The only exception is Windows RT, but that can't run any non Windows 8 Store (Metro) apps, so that doesn't count. And the same applies to a VM, the only way you'd be able to use a VM of some kind is full CPU emulation, which if it's even possible with the software out there, would be extremely slow. And please, nobody say Wine, that stands for Wine is Not and Emulator (as in, it won't emulate an x86 CPU if you don't have one), so that won't do it either.
tl;dr: The games you want to run are Intel x86 binaries, and won't run on an ARM processor.

what is the budget? you might be able to assemble an Intel Atom based (or AMD E series) small desktop for very low cost. especially if you have some parts already available (maybe HD at least) or as mentioned you can always get an older, used mashcine for those kind of games.
or buy a netbook and connect it to the big screen.
but then again i think you get consoles for that money.

I have asked in another forum and they answered me something like this: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=DC7800S-C2D233-MAR-R&cat=SYS (116 euros)..
You can connect them to the screen via VGA...

If you're on a budget, go second hand. You could pick up a used 1.6GHz machine with 1GB RAM for about £20-30 on Ebay.

This. Just remember it's Ebay and not everything is as advertised. AKA: Buy from a reputable vendor.
