Hi there,

I use xmodmap to load a keyboard map which enables me to type Unicode characters like accents, graves, etc necessary for the portuguese language. This works fine in all Gnome based applications, but fails when using xterm or Qt- based applications.

Is it possible to tell those XIM (X-input method) based applications (xterm, Qt-, etc) to listen to my xmodmap keyboard map?

I know the inverse (make Gnome apps listen to XIM) is possible with GTK_IM_MODULE.
Pls, let me know in case you need some version info from my system.

Thanks for your help,

Guilherme
