Change Firefox menu fonts, tooltips in Kubuntu

Has anyone managed to set selected fonts to apply to the menu, toolbars etc in Firefox?

Well there are support requests on the Mozilla forums stretching back as far as 2004 for solutions to this.
Absolutely ridiculous that you need to install an Add-On to force Firefox to use system set fonts.
