View Full Version : [ubuntu] Open Dash with double-Alt key?

I have an IBM Thinkpad T42 laptop currently running Ubuntu 12.04 and there is no Windows/Super key on the keyboard.

Is there any way to change the keystroke that opens the Dash from the Super key to a double Alt keystroke (hitting Alt twice is rapid succession)?

Or to change it to Ctrl + Alt?

I think it is Alt + F1 to do the same thing, but that is not as easy as hitting the Alt key twice rapidly. With an Alt+Alt I could do that and key my hands on the keyboard for instant typing while Atl+F1 makes me take my hands off the keys and stretch to reach both keys and requires more aim. I like not having to look at my keyboard much.

Alternately, if this can be done in Gnome-shell but not Unity, I would be interested as I have an Fedora w/Gnome-shell on a second hard drive I can swap in-and-out.
