Hello, Ubuntu Community!

In Russia we have strong Ubuntu Community, especially in Omsk. We have done an event for Ubuntu 12.10 Release:
http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/ubuntu-ru-loco-omsk/2050/detail/

In short, we have started Ubuntu in computer shop. That is all!

Here is Russian version: http://omsklug.com/2012/10/ubuntu-12-10-massive-start/

Here are results:

Is it legal in Your county to do like this? Is there any sense to repeat it again?

Looks like a nice event
What do you mean by saying "is it legal in your country?"
Having an Ubuntu shop with laptops and desktops preinstalled with Ubuntu, doesn't violate any trade laws... I think.

“2012-10-18 около 18 часов в Омске трое участников OmskLUG проникли в один небольшой компьютерный магазин по проспекту Марка^W… Маркса и совершили массовый запуск хакерской операционной системы для программистов Ubuntu…”

No this is not a correct thing to do. What you did is not a hacker job, but a cracker job. It is a private shop and you had no right to do what you did. That is also illegal in Russia, but maybe the Police didn't care much, and the computer shop got free advertisement.

Users in Russia know Ubuntu very well, so this was a foolish action by 3 people! Это хулиганство!

In all kind of such shops in Russia, there are Ubuntu computers/laptops, which are usually called "with Linux" but actually have Ubuntu.

In Mother Russia she rules the community

Don't know why it wouldn't be, but selling computers with Ubuntu preinstalled is perfectly legal in the US.

They are not selling computers with preinstalled Ubuntu. From what I gathered from the link the guys went into some shop and booting Ubuntu off a live usb off all these computers. :)
