sticky notes Ubuntu 12.04

Hello,

I recently updated my ubuntu to 12.04, and the sticky notes application is gone.
So obviously I cannot see my notes anymore. Is there a way I can recover them?
Where are they stored?

Is it possible to reinstall sticky notes?

I figured out that the single file with all the notes is

~/.gnome2/stickynotes_applet

which is a XML file.

I wonder whether I can recover the notes without manually copying the text from the XML..
