Folks:
I have a 12.04 Ubuntu installed on a 16GB flash drive, all configured (Drive(16 GB) = 722 MB FAT32 + 14GB & more of EXT4. as casper-rw.) For your information, I did install the AMD propriety video driver.
I did an Acronis Backup of the flash drive, but I experienced a failed restoration on the fat32 partition of the flash drive. I cannot boot from the USB, even though I can see the files.
Therefore, I did a 12.04 pendrive install on the FAT32 partition and created an empty EXT4 partition. I did an Acronis restoration of the EXT4 partition ONLY. It booted, but I have to use a Ctrl-Alt-F7 to get the X Desktop.
What should I do to get the Desktop without having to hit Ctrl-Alt-F7? Anyone?
