Forewarning: I'm a Linux newbie.

Recently I've been wrestling with a new installation attempting to get my Broadcom Wireless adapter working. It's been an especially tough ordeal since I'm both new to Linux AND don't have access to a wired connection (Even temporarily).

However I think I've finally managed to get the drivers installed. The last step is actually activating them... and I can't.

I try to load "Additional Drivers" and the whole thing just poofs. It searches for installed drivers for a few seconds and then crashes. In order to re-open it I have to restart the entire OS.

I've already tried reinstalling Jockey. No change.

Did a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 using a new copy of the ISO (MD5 verified).

Same exact problem. Additional Drivers/Jockey crashes when I attempt to load it.

Wired connection not possible.
