I upgraded 11.10 to 12.o4.1 and everything seemed to go well. A small window appeared and said "restart", which I did and iirc the log in window came up and I typed in the password and everything worked.
I shut the computer down and about an hour later started it up.
The login window came up but I was unable to type in the password.
Nothing seemed to help so I pulled the plug and then started the computer again.
Same--could not enter any letters of the password .
I player around with trying various combinations of login buttons and typing eventually something worked and I was able to type in my password.
Is there something that will correct this I am typing this on the computer in question and if I shut it down may be unable to restart it
