View Full Version : [ubuntu] Mouse issue: jumping from sides of screen

Hey everyone,

So I've recently upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10 on my laptop and desktop. Desktop works fine... laptop has this funny issue:

When I use either my trackpad OR my wireless mouse, if I put my pointer on the right side of the screen and scroll all the way to the right, the mouse seemingly goes "through" the right side and ends up on the left side of the screen (ie where my unity bar is). This does not happen on any other edge of the screen.

It may be my imagination, but the mouse feels faster horizontally than it does vertically too.

Any ideas?

Hey,

unfortunately I don't have a solution for this. I am experiencing the exact same problem... which would bother me too much but it make multi-monitor setups impossible as you get stuck on the default screen!

I'd be interested to see if you found a fix for this?

Failing that, I think I'm going to have to get rid of ubuntu :(

I've found that logging in with Gnome as your Desktop Environment seems to be okay. Oh well that'll do for now!
