Hello,

I've just installed gnome remix 12.10. It works really great. I installed nautilus 3.6 from ppa and it looks great. But what I noticed is that in list mode it mixes folders and files. It is a bit weird to get used to this. In earlier versions folders and files were neatly separated. Is there any way to sort folders and files in separate groups like before?

Thanks.

Next to the toolbar buttons that alter the view (list or icon view), the is a downwards pointing arrow.

Click that and then select "By Type".

Or a better way:

Click the "Files" title on the panel, next to "Activities" then select "Preferences".
On the first tab there is an option - "Sort folders before files"
Check the box.

I just wish I could sort the sidebar so it shows Bookmarks above Devices.
I should imagine that many people would use their bookmarked location far more than they would click on the devices.
