I upgraded to 12.10 and right away I noticed something was a little different, to say the least.

I tried to resize these icons, but although the handles showed up after selecting this option, dragging the handles did not resize the icon.

I've since removed the offending icons, but I'd like to put them back (and not in gigantor format, they are covering other icons). Does anyone have any ideas about why these have blown up?

What was the size of the original images used? If you have Gimp installed you can resize the images if that is problem.

Yes, I think this is a regression from Ubuntu 12.04. Small icons in 12.04 were shown in their original resolutions in Dash.

@WACOMalt, this thread is about the size of icons in Ubuntu 12.10 with Unity. If you need help with Linux Mint, you can start your own thread in the Other OS (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=401) section of this forum.

Since the OP has not been back since they started this thread a few months ago, I'm closing it now.

Thread closed.
