Unity performance in 12.04 and 12.10... any difference?

Hi. We read everywhere that Ubuntu 12.10 brings a lot of performance improvements, most of them being related to Unity.

My question: if I have a fully updated 12.04 system, do I benefit from the same Unity performance improvements?
