The reflections were more for wall appeal. I didn't think the walls would look very good if they were bland. However, now that you mention it, I would like to remove the Ubuntu logo from the walls and simply leave the wall to wall shine.

Left blends in the colors of all the walls.
I would choose left.

Both are nice, but my vote goes with the rest I would choose the left. My suggestion would be to make the Ubuntu Logo bigger and perhaps move it a little closer to the text. Overall it is very nice. If you release it as a wallpaper send me a copy.

I eradicated the .blend files with a harddrive reformat. :( However, I have the original renders here http://ubuntu-art.org/content/show.php/Ubuntu+Platter?content=154788&PHPSESSID=895d628e381c6cc3b5fa05d0618ca7cc
I've added both of my Ubuntu wallpapers to ubuntu-art.

Right one. Upon seeing the left I had some difficulty reading the words.
