So I am trying to create a GIF and need to use avidemux to select the range of frames to convert to .jpg's.
I have installed avidemux using this guide: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1864378
and now I am having a problem understanding how to run the program...I am not totally sure if it is out of date or anything of the sort.
It would be great if someone could help me figure out if there is an executable and where to find it, or if I have messed up somewhere.

On a side note, when istalling an avidemux program from the USC, I recieve this error message:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

avidemux: Depends: libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) but 1:4.6.1-9ubuntu3 is to be installed
Depends: libvpx1 (>= 1.0.0) but it is not going to be installed

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.
