Just run the update manager, install all updates and you will have 12.04.1.

Mission accomplished or so it seems, update manager says no more updates to install.I don't see any obvious differences in what i have now, than in what i had before.
Is there anything specific to look for ? I am not sure why but downloads never seem to
go smoothly, usually takes more than one try, and then there is no indicator as to the
progress or even if it has completed.:confused:

12.04.1 is the same OS as 12.04, just with all of the latest updates.

Everyone who is running 12.04 and updates regularly will have been on 12.04.1 for several weeks now.

Thank you for the clarification. So then is 12.04.1 the same thing as 12.10 ?

No.

12.04 and 12.10 are different operating systems, comparable to Windows 7 and Windows 8.

12.04 and 12.04.1 are comparable to Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1.

12.04.1 is just 12.04 with the latest updates installed.
