I tried downloading Plymouth Manager and tried to replace the usual Ubuntu loading image with another one, but it loaded the Lubuntu text version and I couldn't get rid of it through the program, so I tried to do it manually from what I saw online. I managed to correct the shutdown image, but now, for some unknown reason, I didn't change the boot-up text to the correct image and now after I select Ubuntu 12.04 in BURG it says:

Couldn't start Boot Splash. Too many levels of symbolic links.
Please Help! I wanted to try out Plymouth Manager, but now I just want to get back to the original GUI boot-up and shut-down images.

Thanks!
