Looking for manual for Grub Version 1

I can't seem to find a manual for version 1 of Grub anywhere.
There are manuals for the current Grub version 2 and Grub version 0.97 from May of 2005 on gnu.org
http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/

My Ubuntu 10.04 runs Grub version 1.98. Is there no manual for version 1?

0.97 is grub1 (don't ask why they don't call it 1.00, I don't know)

1.9X is grub2.

You have grub2. You can use the manual for the current grub2.

You should note that there is a proper Grub 2.0. It come with Ubuntu 12.10 and it will replace Grub 1.99 in 12.04 at the end of January.
