How do you delete the recent files and folders used?

When I click on 'Dash Home' on the top left launchpad, Search pops up and 'Recent Files' at top right under 'Recent Apps' and shows everything recent used. Now there are over 30 recent files listed that were recently used. I can't figure out how to delete them. Can someone tell me how they can be deleted and removed?

With Natty you got 'Activity Log Manager for Zeitgeist' which lets you blacklist files and apps, delete your history and more.

Will Zeitgeist still work on 64 bit Precise Pangolin or do you have to use something else to clear 'Recent Files'?

You might find it in System Setting under Log Viewer.

But here you are. Go down about a third of the page to Privacy.

Used this old thread for help:

Installed Zeitgeist again like in Natty and it did the trick deleting recent files.

Don't understand why Ubuntu still makes this so difficult to do.
Zeitgeist is pretty easy to use and I forgot all about it because it's the type of app you just set & forget.
