Using RAID 1 with Ubuntu 12.04.1

I am new to Linux. I am currently installing Ubuntu 12.04.1 on a Dell PowerEdge SC1430.

Does Ubuntu support RAID 1? If so, I am looking for hardware RAID adapters that are supported and installation instructions. Even a URL will do.

Don't servers usually come with raid adapter inside?

If you use the Server version it supports both hardware and software raid. In most cases it has wide adapter support and should recognize it. In very small number of cases, you will need to look for drivers for the card.
