View Full Version : [kubuntu] Running KDE only for background services

Hello Forums!

I need to do a laptop refresh, I wish to run Ubuntu with Xmonad as my window manager but with the KDE daemons for background management (mainly power, the thing sucks without power and fan management)

What would be the best way to go about this?
* Use Xmonad to start the KDE services individually. (if so how?)
* Use Xmonad to launch kdeinit but remove the taskbar.
* Use KDE with Xmonad as window manager but remove taskbar.

One thing I really wish to know is how to remove the taskbar.

Thankyou for help.
