High disk space usage

Hi,

My issue is that something is really wrong with my Ubuntu Desktop. I have 215GB partition only 13GB free and home folder takes only 40.

215-13-40=162

How this is happening that my Ubuntu requires so much space? How I can check what is going on? Few years ago I had Debian and I took just about 20GB for software. How I can investigate this issue?

What is your partitioning scheme? Is it one large / partition and probably swap and is Ubuntu the only OS on the machine?
Did you look into the folder /var/log if log files are taking up much space?
