You may want to use this free softwares...
UNetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/http://)
Universal USB Installer (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/)
LinuxLive USB Creator (http://www.linuxliveusb.com/)

I use Universal USB Installer but it is up to you which you think is best. As for LinuxLive USB Creator, they download VirtualBox if you want to run ubuntu inside Windows. Use persistence mode if you want to save your changes everytime you boot from USB.

I'd use Yumi, I use it and I currently have a 16GB USB with 2 version of Ubuntu, Hirens, Xp & Windows 7 It's really good. You have to create your pens in Windows though.

Here is a download link:

Sorry your question isn't all that clear. There are instructions on how to use Yumi in the link I gave you before. If you are trying to create a Yumi stick in Ubuntu then it will not work as it's a Windows application.

There is an option at the bottom of the drop down menu to use other ISO images that aren't listed. Use that option and select your XP ISO. It will then import it and it should work.

I'm not sure why, it worked ok for me. Why do you need both Windows 7 and XP? I only have 7 on mine. I had XP on it in the past though. Maybe the newest version doesn't support it.

You could always put Hiren's on it. That has MiniXP within the ISO.

No that I know of. Like I said, if you want XP to run on the USB pen then I would download and add the Hirend boot CD ISO to your USB pen. From there you can select Hirens from the Yumi boot menu then select mini XP from the Hirens boot menu.

This will enable you to have both 7 and X on the same pen. Hirens also has a tonne of other useful tools on there.
