I have Ubuntu PP desktop 64 bits with recommended nvidia drivers. I have 1 Monitor and 1 TV connected to the same video card Geforce 9800 GT (2 DVI).

I use the TV from time to time as a second monitor. Because the settings were not all that clear I messed around with Xinerama and XServer configuration. Later when I put everything back on default and re-saved to X config I am stuck with only UBUNTU 2D!???

Can anyone take a look and help me get 3D back again?

Here my X-Config

I was experimenting with xinerama myself and lost 3D, turning it off again still didn't bring back 3D, so I searched and found this post.

I don't play with linux that much, so it didn't occur to me to look at the xorg file until I looked at yours. Turns out the fix was quite simple:

Just change (bottom of xorg.conf):

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection

to:

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection

Log out and back in again. Worked on mine at least (Linux Mint 13 KDE edition).

I guess you may have found another solution by now, but may help others (and me when I forget in the future!)
