Are there terminal commands available for Unity that will allow me to move running programs/processes to other workspaces?

I want to write a script that I can run when I boot up my session, and will execute a bunch of applications (eg thunderbird, pidgin, firefox, ssh webserver session, and others), then move them to whatever workspaces i want. But to do this i need to know how to control unity via terminal.

Thanks.

You can assign applications to diffrent workspaces in ccsm.
