Hi all,
Though I've been using Ubuntu for quite sometime, I don't know how to describe my problem precisely. I just upgraded my Ubuntu from 11.04 to 11.10. (I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04 afterwards, but the problem exists.) After the upgrade, I notice that the whole "theme" or the "looks" of those windows are totally screwed. Please refer to the follow screen shot to see the problem.

Those buttons look so crude and not slick at all. The appearance of "Home Folder" (upper right window in the desktop) is totally a mess. I can tell the whole system is still working properly. But such user interface is quite unusable.
What can cause such problem during the upgrade? (I remember that during the upgrading, I was asked to choose whether to "keep" or "replace" some configuration files. And I chose "replace".) Any way to fix it besides reinstalling the whole system? Thanks a lot.
