Flash Video and Audio Stuttering

I have been using Ubuntu 11.10 since January and its been a smooth ride but now my flash player is behaving as if its playing media from a dvd with lots of scratches on it.

Its not a buffering issue as i have decent bandwidth...

I am completely clueless.. I have removed the flash player plug-in and re-installed it ... The problem persists... I'm facing the problem with firefox as well as chromium .. I have also tried the flash-aid extension for firefox but nothing seems to work...

I thought that if i upgrade my os to 12.04 the problem might go away but its still there.

Do you think that deleting the flash-player cache might work ? If so can anyone tell me how to do it?

mine is on the same problem.how can i uninstall the flash player,and installing it again.or any idea/solutions on this video and audio stuttering? im only a web surfer/newbie
