View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to add this theme

I install ubuntu a couple of months ago, and was thinking..Why i dont change the theme. I found some tar.gz theme, and dont know how to install same? How to add theme in apperance(system settings).

It depends. Usually just extract the theme and move the folder to "~/.themes" or "/usr/share/themes" and they should show up in your theme program. Or some theme programs have an install button or similar that you can point directly to the archive. This should be universally true unless the theme has some kind of installer in it. In that case I just avoid them altogether.

You can't get it to appear in system settings, but use MyUnity, Ubuntu Tweak, or GNOME Tweak Tool to set the theme.
