I purchased this board recently and it comes with Ubuntu 10.04lts.

I would like to upgrade to one of the newer versions of Ubuntu and was able to find two different images.

ubuntu-11.10-preinstalled-desktop-armel+mx5.img.gz
and

ubuntu-12.04-preinstalled-desktop-armhf+mx5.img.gz

I decompressed each of these files and wrote the .raw file to a MicroSD via win32diskimager

While trying to install either of these versions I have the same problem. It boots up and loads up a graphical install screen with the language selection on it. I am using a USB mouse and USB keyboard but they don't seem to be recognized?

I don't believe it is frozen because the screen will blank out after a while.

What can I do to make this work?

I do not have the debug connection hooked up because i do not have a proper cable for this and I am relatively new to this. I COULD use the older version that comes with it but I would like to make use of the newer software.

I understand that with the newer boards they changed the power control IC and this may be the issue but I am wondering how to fix this.

Thanks!
