So I've spent the past day completely wiping and restoring my laptop so it's cleaned down to the bare bones. Right now I have just the essentials and around 600 GB of hard drive.
I've been messing around with Windows Boot Manager and Ubuntu trying to figure out how to boot Ubuntu off of a virtual hard drive. I don't have any access to CDs or flash drives. I know it's still possible because I had a very makeshift way of doing it before, but it was messy and I know there is a simpler way to do it.
I got to the point where I could choose between the Windows 7 boot and the Ubuntu boot. The problem is when I went to the Ubuntu boot it would just bring up the grub terminal. I'm assuming this is because the VHD doesn't boot up automatically, so I've been trying to find a a way to boot the Virtual Hard Drive using Windows Boot Manager.
Is there a better way to multi boot Ubuntu? I don't want to use any virtualization because thats going to slow things down. Ideally I would have a VHD for each OS that I want to boot.
