View Full Version : [ubuntu] Alt key mapped to "mod5", want it mapped back to "alt"

I'm tweaking a preinstalled 10.10 install on an EeePC. Alt-anything wasn't working, so I looked in the keyboard shortcuts and saw that when I do an alt-combination the alt key is recognized as "mod5". I remapped alt+f2 to mod5+f2 and it works; at this point I could change all the shortcuts, but it's a very annoying process. Is there a way to have the alt key on the keyboard mapped back to "alt"?

Bump bump. I googled and found similar issues, but nobody seems to want to solve this exact problem.
