Hi everyone,

This is my first posting so I don't really know what to expect!

Ok so here's what's going on. I put together this mini itx build on Friday:

Intel i3 3.3 Lga1155 cpu
ASUS P8 H77 - ITX motherboard
GSkill DDR3 1600 4gb X 2
Seagate 500 gb HD

I downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu (12.04)onto a usb and tried to upload it...this is a fresh install.

I kept getting a message about a 'Machine error' and the computer keeps trying to reboot itself. I've been into the bios and got the computer to boot itself from the usb but still the same result.

I will try a cd burn to see if that will work. What's kinda strange is I used the above usb to install ubuntu onto my work computer without a hitch.

Does anyone know whether ASUS motherboards have some issues with Ubuntu? The motherboard user guide only mentions Windows O/S to be used but I'm trying to ignore this....
