Need to download Ubuntu on Mac to usb then xfer to PC...

Hi, I am trying to download Ubuntu on this mac, onto a USB to transfer onto a PC i just built... I tried downloading ubuntu tonight and it says "mounting failed".

What am I do to to solve this?

You might be better off just burning the .ISO to a disk especially if its a PPC Mac.
