I have a user trying to install citrix onto his machine which has Xubuntu 64 bit 12.04 operating system installed.
When he attempted to install citrix, it failed, bringing up the ICA file as a text file which I believe should be part of the software part of the software. Therefore citrix does not work.
I understand that Citrix has not made a 64-bit version so he will need to install the 32bit version - am I right here?
I have been researching online and have come across many articles about getting citrix installed on Ubuntu 12.04. Is it the same process for Xubuntu also?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Citrix does have a 64-bit client. See: https://www.citrix.com/English/ss/downloads/details.asp?downloadId=2323812&productId=1689163.

Have a look at this thread for more info: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2028487&highlight=citrix
