Hi guys,

I'm running a dual screen set up, and wanted to know if, and how, I can add a second panel/taskbar type thing to the second screen. I mainly want this for the clock as I tend to use my primary screen ( which has the applications, clock, and log out/shutdown bar )to watch films in full screen and to look at the time I have to disable the full screen.

How can I add another panel/taskbar to the second screen and then add a clock applet to said panel so that instead of disturbing the primary screen I can just switch on the second screen and glance at the time?

I'm using Gnome 3.0 ( or Gnome Shell )

Thanks.

Jamie.

There's an extension for that.
Multiple Monitor Panels - GNOME Shell Extensions (https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/323/multiple-monitor-panels/)

Haha thanks... That kinda reminds me of Apples "There's an app for that" slogan XD

Also, I've enabled it but it has just the "Activities" menu button on it, which I don't want how can I get rid of that and add the clock?

Launch GNOME Shell Extension Preferences.

gnome-shell-extneions-prefs]
Or go to the website and click on the blue spanner icon.
There are some settings there, including the clock, activities, appMenu, indicators.
