I found a pretty interesting short documentary from Good Magazine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qC_T9ePzANg
One of the main points is the capacity that modern technology can have in "updating" outdated methods for education. The internet in particular means that there's a wealth of knowledge now available "on demand", so perhaps focus should move from teaching a little bit of everything, to teaching basic internet research skills, in a "give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish..." type way.
What are your thoughts on the future of education?
- And as a side note, can anybody recommend any songs to me that are similar to the one from the opening of the documentary? :)
