I was just wondering how to upgrade unetbootin to the latest version. I am running 11.04. Want to upgrade to 12.04 and it is much faster just making a usb. Or if anyone can tell me the exact iso image to download that would work as well. There are so many.

I think I found the right page. If this is right please let me know http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

Ah, and does anyone know the difference between the server and the desktop?

Yes that is the place to get the 12.04 iso file; just make sure you choose the right architecture for you, ie 32 or 64 bit from the dropdown box on the right of the page.

You can get an updated version of unetbootin from a ppa to go from v471 to v568

Instead of unetbootin you can try multisystem. (http://www.pendrivelinux.com/multiboot-create-a-multiboot-usb-from-linux/)

downloaded the 32 and it's only 175 mb. I don't know if that is right. And also went to unetbootin, upgraded and it only goes as high as 11.10 for me.

Are you wanting to install 12.04 in the usb to upgrade the 11.04 ubuntu already installed there (in usb) or only download and prepare the iso for booting to the hard drive to upgrade there? Can you be clearer what you need to do?

downloaded the 32 and it's only 175 mb. I don't know if that is right. And also went to unetbootin, upgraded and it only goes as high as 11.10 for meYou'll need to download again, you didn't get it all at 175 mb.

unetbootin is in the software center, but yours should be fine, My unetbootin shows 12.04 if you're wanting to download the iso image with unetbootin.
