Two-noses' need a home

At first glance they look like perfectly normal puppies.

But these two pups have "four noses" - two each - which might explain why they were abandoned on the streets of London last week.

The mastiff-bulldog crossbreeds, thought to be between six and eight weeks old, are in perfect health. But they have an extreme form of a cleft palate resulting in the appearance of two noses.

The bitches from the same litter were handed in to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in south London, which is trying to find them a home.

Mark Johnston, a vet, said little was known about the condition, which is "extremely rare".

"It is difficult to know what has caused it, since there have been so few cases," he said.

My thoughts with 2 noses these would be awesome bomb or drug sniffing dogs, 2 noses have to be better then 1.

I wouldn't buy a 2 nosed puppy but I would rescue it if necessary.

Twice as cute, I say.

A dog is a dog. As long as their noses aren't slowing them down, it's cool. :)

No but then again I wouldn't buy a 1 nosed dog. Too much effort for me, I'll stick to goldfish and use an automated food dispenser (I 'd use embeded Linux but it doesn't have a driver for my dispensers trap door ;) ) to save me that effort. If only I could get someone to fill the dispenser.

It would annoy me having a dog, I regularly walk up the local mountains and a mate comes with me on occassion with his dog and:
1. His dog struggles to keep up (or maybe its him, both look knackered)
2. His dog fights with every other dog we see (those dogs are all knackered too).

Dog's just aren't made for long distances (10-15 miles over mountainous terrain is a fair distance for them, especially at my pace) and I couldn't exactly leave it locked in the house as I explore the country. On the other hand goldfish in a self feeding bowl can stay indoors until they're ready for the toilet.

warning - the parts about automated dispensers may not be entirely accurate.

I'd bet that cosmetic surgery would fix that easily.! , Although it would have to be done now while they are still puppy's..

But i bet it would and not be all that painful for the poor little doggy's..

No, my dog sniffs too much with only one nose.

Or pehaps this could be a new breed of drug/bomb sniffing dog. We could breed these and be so rich.

I'm too lazy to be bothered taking care of a dog. But if I was gonna adopt one and it had 2 noises it wouldn't be that big of a deal. It's just a dog, not like the other dogs are gonna laugh at him.

I don't think my rabbit would approve.
