cant get ubuntu to work

Hello

i have installed ubuntu 12.04 using wubi.exe on windows 7 64 bit
after the rebooting i see only a purple screen empty
although i hear the ubuntu startup audio

i have installed ubuntu this way many times in the past
i just wanted to try it on this new PC , here are the hardware details if it helps

HD: SSD 120 GB + SEAGATE 1 TB SATA 3 (ubuntu installed on SSD along with windows)
CPU: AMD FX-1820 (8core)
GPU: GTX 550 ti
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
CD: NO CD DRIVE
