I have changed the proprietary graphics driver from the one that was being used in ubuntu 12.04.1 to the one that was "recommended."
That was a mistake! Now when the system boots, I do not get the icon menu bar at the left of the screen. The system also seems to be running in some kind of a disabled mode.
How do I break into the boot-up procedure in order to restore the previous driver.
