good day,
i am a new user of ubuntu and every time i try to start my machine, i get the command prompt that i should wait because the GUI is leading. i searched the internet and got an information to input SUDO LIGHTDM or SUDO STARTX which seem to be a temporal solution since every time i on my machine, i have to input these set of command.

please i need a permanent command prompt which will give a permanent solution to this problem.

thank you

Maybe you can repair this by booting into the recovery mode.
When you boot your computer if the grub menu does not appear, just hit the ESC key at bootup and select recovery mode.
Then run a repair to see if it will fix the video problem.
This is a good place to start.
