Installation of UBUNTU 12.04 on old system

Hello, I have Pentium 2.66 Ghz, 775 socket, 533 FSB processor, G31 Motherboard, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, can i run UBUNTU 12.04 in this system smoothly

I think you should be able to run Ubuntu on that comp,but maybe Lubuntu (http://lubuntu.net/) is better solution.
