I am wondering if any has or can point me to some recommendations on building/configuring Ubuntu Server 12.04 to boot from USB. By this, I mean with careful consideration to USB/Flash wear and lifecycle. I want to build a custom Linux server for my secondary/backup NAS, but have it boot and run from RAM (ala something like NAS4Free or FreeNAS).
Thoughts anyone? Pardon some of my naivete.
