View Full Version : [ubuntu] fingerprint reader doesn't unlock encrypted home folder on log in

I just set up the fingerprint reader, which is pretty cool, but I have an encrypted home directory which it does not unlock when I log in, so I still have to manually enter my password. Is there a setting to fix this?

Also, there's a little graphic that comes up when I'm prompted for my password/fingerprint ... it looks terrible. Is there a way to change the graphic to a simple icon (that matches the system icons) or something?

I see, thanks. And sorry for reposting the same question.

I assume it's no hope that I can change the graphic, either?

Nope, unfortunately, that's been hard-coded.
