Hey all, long-time Ubuntu user; first-time poster. So I've been running in circles trying to get my conkyrc file the way I want it. After a lot of experimenting, I ended up using this file here(the first post): http://www.techenclave.com/open-source-linux/post-your-conkyrc-file-w-108162/

Well it's dandy and all, but I have a 1366x728(or whatever) monitor and this file is for 1900x1200. So when I run it it shows up as the attachment. There's a whole bottom half of conky being cut off, and all of this whitespace in between panels.

How do I fix this? I've tried decreasing the minimum/maximum sizes, changing the gap_x and gap_y values, and tediously going through the file and changing font size and offsets. Any suggestions, tips or general help is much appreciated.

There is a HowTo thread dedicated to this conky which can be unnecessarily
complicated to work with.

Excellent, thanks a lot! And yeah, I know it's a pain, but it's one of the more sleek and ergonomic conky scripts I've come across, so I'd say it's worth the extra effort :)

True, it is a good looker.
You should be a conky master by the time you've set up for your resolution.
It's a good way to learn the ins and outs.

Another good thread for conky questions....
