View Full Version : [ubuntu] Can i run linux?

Hey i know i have another post like this but the computer im asking about is a different desktop with different spec :), so as the title says can i run it? specs below:

Pentium 4 @ 2.8GHZ with hyperthread (if that helps at all)
1GB RAM
graphics: Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910L express chipset @ 128MB

That looks fine. What about a video chip/card?
Download the Live-CD and burn it, then test it out without installing.

EDIT: I see you added the video specs. It should work no problem.

Yes, I am running Linux on much lower powered systems.

Just a week earlier i have installed xubuntu 12.04 on a old computer(similar to the above specs) that my father uses , and it runs like a dream . :)

Prior to a install you can do a test run through a live cd or usb .
