I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS from a USB drive.

I have booted using the USB. There is a shortcut in the desktop for 'Install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS'.

The second screen it is telling 'X' is connected to the Internet.

it is certain that i am connected to internet. I am posting this thread from the same login using Firefox. So there is no question about my internet connectivity. I am attached the screen shot.

I am using a cabled broadband connection.

Thanks.

Can you give more details on how you are connected and, if possible, about your hardware specs?

I am having a ADS2+ modem. From that router i connect my computer with a network cable.

What more kind of information you want?
