Is there a non-pae iso of Ubuntu 12.04 that works well "out of the box?" I don't have the time to mess around installing individual packages onto a minimal install...
Thanks in advance.

Xubuntu 12.04 (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/releases/12.04/release/) is non-pae and then you can install Ubuntu Desktop.
Good luck

Thanks everyone. I actually scoured the net and found a really great working ISO here: http://people.canonical.com/~diwic/12.04-nonpae/
So, if anyone else is looking for an easy-to-use solution, that's where it's at. It does not get easier.
