Hi,
I want to install Ubuntu on my laptop (intel core i7 q720, geforce gts360M, 8 gig ram) parallel to win7.

Well, I tried the ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso you get directly from the ubuntu site and also ubuntu-12.04-dvd-amd64.iso from the alternative downloads.

Start from CD -> I get the language selection and afterwards the menue (try ubuntu, install, check dvd, etc). I checked the dvd and he says no errors, but when I hit install or try I initially get the normal ubuntu loadscreen and after a while I get a fancy black-white pattern lokking like in the error.jpg attached. Only difference: on try ubuntu the pattern is clean and on install it has some rgb noise as seen in the picture. The pattern is always the same.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here? I sincerely have no clue... :(
greetings,
Nym
