Is there a qick way to log out of a session and log in again in a different DE

Hi Im using Unity, but unfortunately 3D games run slow with unity, so I must frequently log out and log in again under a lighter DE.

Is there a way I could have a script or something to automate switching DE?

Please note they cannot be allowed to run concurrently although that ability is awesome, because Unity will still make games slow.
